There are many railroads throughout the USA and Canada. Six of these are considered "Class I" Railroads, and all of the others are "Shortline" railroads.
The Class I railroads are:
- Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation (BNSF)
- Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway (CPKC)
- Canadian National Railway (CN)
- CSX Transportation (CSX)
- Norfolk Southern Railway (NS)
- Union Pacific Railroad (UP)
