The Paducah And Louisville Railway (PAL) is a class II Railroad primarily based in Kentucky but also owns the Applachiain and Ohio Railroad and Evansville Western Railway.

Major Yards
PAL has a number of major yards throughout their network including Paducah and Louisville,
Cars setting out picking up
Short lines, such as PAL usually don't have detailed instructions for a YM to pick-up, set-up, swap blocks. Basically, all trains are "locals" and as such make all stops as required.
Interchanges
There are three points on the PAL where cars are interchanged with the major railroads.
- Paducah cars go to BNSF & CN.
- Cimarron Mine (Madisonville, KY) cars go to a north-south CSX line.
- Louisville cars go to NS & CSX.
